But, his plan of making Gwen dislike him to protect her because he thought she would die because of him was kind of smart but made their whole relationship more difficult. In every book it’s kind of back and forth, love and then act like a stupid boy and ruin things. You have to admit that Gideon is suave and cool guy, but so stupid in matters of the heart. Lesley was a great friend and was the person who held Gwen together when Gideon was being stupid, which is practically every page. Xemerius provided his little two cents to everything that just was so funny and was so great to Gwen. Lesley and Xemerius were probably my favorite characters.

And we see a little bit of none stuck up Charlotte at Cynthia’s party in the last book when she’s drunk but you can’t really sympathizes with her. In just seemed that in every book they got worse. I hated Charlotte and her mother in every book. It wasn’t until about page 100 something that Gwyneth finally tells her mother and goes to the Temple and the truth about her being the family time traveler is revealed. I felt that Ruby Red started out a bit slow. The ending of Emerald Green did not give much resolution to what happens to the Gwyneth and Gideon and the crew, which was a bit disappointing, but was a good read reguardless. The romance was extremely frustrating throughout each book and I think I liked the supporting characters a good bit more than the main characters.

The Ruby Red trilogy was a fun read and had a very interesting concept, seeing as I’ve never read a book about time travel.
